The Town Council appoints members of the public to specific Town Boards, Commissions, and Committees. The primary responsibility of the Boards, Commissions, and Committees is to act as advisory bodies to the Council. Commission members identify issues of interest to the community, make policy recommendations to the Council, and initiate programs that benefit the community.

Board, Commission, and Committee Volunteer Opportunities
Beginning in the Spring of 2017 the Town of Los Gatos will be recruiting for Youth Commissioners and adult Commissioner vacancies for the Building Board of Appeals and the General Plan Committee.
At the October 18, 2016 Town Council meeting, the Town Council approved modifications to the Commission Appointments, Residency and Attendance Requirements, and Establishing a Quorum Policy (2-11), and the enabling resolutions for most Boards, Commissions, and Committees. The revised Policy 2-11 and enabling resolutions may be found under the Commissioners' Handbook. The staff report and video of the meeting may be located here.
